Note: All Turkey tour packages are modular and you can
use these itineraries as a starting point and we can help modify this itineraries
to accommodate your personal requirements and desires to find your perfect
holiday.
DAY 01 – Arrival in Istanbul
On your arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your
hotel with the remainder of day at your leisure to explore city or relax
before your tour commences.
DAY 02 – Historical Istanbul Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast at hotel meet with the guide to depart on the full day regular
group tour to explore some of the most important sights in Istanbul. Visit
the Blue Mosque, the St Sophia, Hippodrome and Obelisk, Grand Bazaar and
Topkapi Palace (exluding harem section). Today tour wil be completed with
a visit to Rustem Pasha Mosque.
DAY 03 – Bosphorus Cruise & Dolmabahce Palace Tour
This morning you will drive Eminonu Port to board the regular city boat
for a 2 hour Bosphorous Cruise. Enjoy this relaxing cruise along the shoreline
while your guide explains to you the history of sights seen while onboard.
We then continue on land to visit the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace and
then also visit Camlica Hill.
DAY 04 – Bus to Safranbolu
Upon check-out you will be transfered to Istanbul central bus station to
board the intercity day coach to Safranbolu. On arrival in Safranbolu, you
will be greeted and transferred to your hotel with your evening free to
discover the Old and New Towns of Safranbolu, a UNESCO World Heritage site
since 1994.
DAY 05 – Day at leisure in Safranbolu
Today is at your disposal to further explore Safranbolu. The Old Town preserves
many old buildings, with over 1000 registered historical artifacts as well
as a large number of ancient settlements, rock tombs and historical bridges.
The Old Town is situated in a deep ravine in a fairly dry area in the rain
shadow of the mountains. The town derives its name from saffron, since Safranbolu
was a trading place and a center for growing saffron.
DAY 06 – Day bus to Cappadocia
Upon check-out you will be transfered to Safranbolu central bus station
to board the intercity day coach to Safranbolu via Ankara. On arrival in
Cappadocia, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel with your
evening free.
DAY 07 – North Cappadocia Tour
Start the tour to visit Devrent Valley, Monk's valley (Pasabagi) where you
will find the world known fairy chimneys. Break for lunch in Avanos and
then continue on to the Goreme Open-Air Museum where you will visit the
numerous rock carved churches and monasteries. Depart for a panaromic view
of Esentepe and then on to Uchisar Castle.
DAY 08 – South Cappadocia Tour
Another full day tour this time to visit the famous Derinkuyu Underground
City. Afterwards a short hike through the green Ihlara Valley along the
stream visiting some of the churches along the way. Stop in Belisirma for
lunch and then on to Selime for a panoramic view. Stop at the Agzikarahan
Caravansarai is included. After the tour, you will be transferred to Cappadocia
bus station for the overnight intercity coach to Antalya.
DAY 09 – Perge, Aspendos, Side Tour
Arrive in Antalya and start your day tour with a visit to Perge Ancient
City, which once was one of the most important cities along the Mediterranean
coast. From here you will visit the world famous ancient Greco - Roman Amphitheater
Aspendos, which is the most well preserved example in the world. After visiting
this impressive site, you will have a lunch break followed by a visit to
Side, an ancient site with attractions including Agora, the Gymnasium, the
Apollo Temple and the ancient harbour. Evening is at your leisure to explore
the old town by night.
DAY 10 – Bus to Pamukkale
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Antalya bus station
for the day bus to Pamukkale. On your arrival to Pamukkale, you will be
met and transferred to your hotel. Tonight you will have the chance to enjoy
the hot spring pools of your hotel.
DAY 11 – Pamukkale Tour / Travel to Kusadasi
After some free time in the morning, start the day tou with the ancient
city of Hierapolis. The ruins of Hierapolis contains one of the biggest
Necropolis Graveyard of the ancient world. You will see magnificent examples
of Roman Baths, Basilica and the world famous Pamukkale ‘’Cotton Castle’’.
There will be free time to walk on the terraces (where allowed), after which
you will be transferred to Kusadasi to your hotel.
DAY 12 – Ephesus Ancient City Tour
Today you will be met at your hotel and start the tour to Ephesus; one of
the grandest cities in the Roman world. Drive to Meryemana and visit the
house of Virgin Mary. Continue to Ephesus the Capital of Asia Minor. Visit
the ruins of Odeon, herculas gate, the temple of Hadrian, the magnificent
library, Agora and fantastic Greco Roman theatre. After the tour, you will
be transferred back to your hotel.
DAY 13 – Pergamum Tour / Bus to Canakkale
After breakfast drive to Pergamum to visit Acropolis where the steepest
theatre of the world, the temple of Troijan and the place of the famous
Zeus altar can be seen & Asclepion, the foremost medical centre of the
ancient world and Acropolis. After the tour, you will be transferred to
Bergama bus station for the day bus to Canakkale where you will be met on
your arrival and transferred to your hotel.
DAY 14 – Troy Tour / Travel to Istanbul
After check-out, you will continue onto Troy. This is the legendary city
of ‘Homer’ which has nine principal levels of occupation covering a period
of 3000 years. Then cross the strait by ferry and drive to Istanbul along
the shores of Marmara sea. After arrival in Istanbul, transfer to the hotel
for your final night in Turkey.
DAY 15 – Departure
Option to extend package with additional night(s) in Istanbul or we will
arrange for the transfer to Istanbul International Airport for your return
or onward flight.
